More sights from Thayne, WY

We did take a drive one day along the Grey river.  Very pretty and it is so good to hear the sound of rushing water after being in Arizona and California all winter. You really do miss the rivers and streams and ponds and lakes. A winter in southern CA has made me really appreciate the grass and water we have in PA.

Grey River
This sound was music to my ears.

We took a little hike into the mountains where we were supposed to find a falls but it started to rain before we got to them so we turned around.

Another day to drove to a place called Periodic Springs. This is a fresh water geyser that comes right out of the mountain. This spring supplies the water for the town of Afton, WY.

Shawnee Falls

Lots of mule deer in the woods here.
This is where the fresh water spring bubbles up.

On May 25th we will be moving over to a campground within the Tetons National Park. We went over to the park and the bison just stroll though the park all day.  That ought to get Nicky's attention.

The day we drove over to the Tetons the mountains tops were covered with clouds.

Old original homestead in the valley.  That's Tracy Tull peaking in the window.

Look how the tops of the mountains are cut off by the clouds --- it was like that all day.

The drive back to Thayne was beautiful. Tetons is about 60 miles from our campground so we will get to see much more of the Tetons when we move over there on Monday.
I so enjoy watching all the little ones in the fields.

It is sunny today and we were out playing Pickle Ball yesterday and today. We have an Italian dinner here in the campground on Sat. and then Monday we move to the Tetons.
