East Canyon State Park, UT

We climbed up to8700 feet elevation getting to the park I think the park was about 6900 feet elevation. Snow in the mountains and chilly the night we arrived.  It did warm up during the day but the nights were cold.  We had one day that rained all day.

Here are some pictures of the campground:

That's Tracy Tull getting ready to hop in the jeep for a day of touring.

One of our entertainments at the park was watching the sheep on the hills behind us.  It was so much fun watching the dogs move the sheep and watching the cowboy instruct the dogs.

They so easily follow.

The shepherd worked with 3 dogs -- 2 Border Collies and they moved the sheep around and this guy above whose job seemed to consist of keeping the sheep from going out into the road.  All open range through here.

View of the lake at the campground.

Nicky and Bailey were busy chasing Prairie dogs.

We took the jeep and drove through Emigration Canyon.  This is the path the wagon trains took.  Lots of history here.

Never saw so many beavers.

This is the countryside along the wagon train trail.

Beautiful reservoir not far from the campground.

Later tonight I hope to put on the pictures from our trip the Temple Square in Salt Lake City.
