Bryce Canyon Fairyland Trail

Our next day was spent hiking 'The Fairyland Trail".  It was about a 10.16 hike.  There were some clouds today which was a blessing because it got hot at times. This was a beautiful hike also but if I had to choose I would say "The Navajo" trail was prettier. On the Fairyland tour you actually go from the top to the bottom and then up and then down again and then up once more.  It is the more gruelling of the two trails.  At least, that's how it seemed to Tracy and I after doing 10 miles the day before. We were exhausted by the end of the day.

We ran into some very deep coral Hoodoos on this trail.

On top descending

Lee and Tracy heading down.

Every once and awhile you have to take the time to just look around you.  Not to mention the fact that you need to rest from time to time.

I love taking pictures of snarly trees.

Our necks are sore constantly from looking up.

When you are standing right beside these guys they look pretty big.

Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

This Hoodoo reminds me of Nicky with his paw up begging for a treat.

On it goes going up again now

Notice how much the terrain changes throughout the hike.

Tracy and Judy

In this picture we are actually walking across the Hoodoos.

When you look at how fragile those Hoodoos are you wonder why the path goes right across them.

Up we go again

Down again and then up one more time.

Look at the path below and follow us up.

This is Tower Bridge a short walk off Fairyland Trail.

 Isn't that the coolest tree?

Living life to the fullest!!!!

On our way up to the top and the finish line.

Only about an eighth of a mile to go.

One of the highlights of our trip to Bryce has been the opportunity to finally catch up with our nephew, Nigel. He has been on a trip hiking Zion, Bryce and Antelope Canyon.

We will be heading next to Canyon land and the Arches.

Living our dream and hoping we are giving you an idea of how you might live your dream.
