Arches National Park day 2

May 5 was a rainy morning so I spent the morning in the RV working on the blog.  After the rain finally cleared up we took off about 1:30 and went to Arches to finish driving through the park and to do some more of the hikes.  We did not get home until almost 7PM.

This is Balance Rock

We took a hike through all these hug rocks and back in there was an Arch.

Myself and Tracy

It was really neat walking among these rocks.

That's Lee peering around the corner.

This is the arch we hiked in to see.  There it was in the middle of all these rocks.

These are the rocks we were walking through and that arch above was in there.

It was a fairly short hike to this arch.

Another arch we hiked to.

This is tunnel arch.

Beginning to understand why this park is called Arches.

Hiking to the arch-- that's Tracy and Lee on the path.

Caught this raven picking up dinner.

Some of the hiking trails are so picturesque and easy walking while others you are climbing over rocks and they are straight up.

This is called Landscape arch.

This tree grew right through the fence.

Here we have double arches.

Still lots of clouds out and all of a sudden the sun shown down on this section and lite it up.

This is the wold homestead. Pretty rough living out here.

The root cellar .

This is delicate arch and it is the one that appears on the Utah license plates.

We ended the day with a rainbow as we exited the park.
