Glacier Lake / Layser Cave Randle, WA

We took a hike that was only 4 miles so we thought , how bad can that be. After all, we had been doing 7-9 mile hikes so this would be a piece of cake. Wrong................ It was 2 miles straight up and 2 miles straight down--- on slippery surface and climbing over rocks and did I mention it was 96 degrees out.  We made it to the lake and had lunch there.  It was a good climb but glad to get back to the RV.

Pretty hike when it was level

My hiking buddy.  He looks good for 10 and one half

Here we are at the top.  We had lunch here and a little break before heading back down.

LAYSER CAVE

This was a short hike to an Indian Cave.

I'm in the cave looking out at Lee and Nick

The view of Mt. Adams from the cave was spectacular.

We will leave tomorrow to visit Lee's sister Becky and husband Tom. They live on Long Beach, WA. We really enjoy the area.
There is no Internet reception there so no blogging for a week.
