The port at Cartagena,Spain.  The photo below shows the whale tail.

Our first glance of Cartagena!!
This picture shows how  the town built on the ruins of the Roman theater.
Some of the sights inside the Roman Theater Museum

Look at how all the colors in the rock were preserved.

These columns were the most beautiful color.
This is the Roman Theater ruins found in Cartagena when a home was removed. The archaeological excavation is ongoing.

Those of you who follow my blog know that I love window pictures.
Isn't this downtown arealovely. It is so nice to stroll around with no worry for cars because it is pedestrian traffic only.

What a phenomenal day.  We went to Cartagena, Spain about 30 some miles from Jim and Jane's house. We parked the car and walked along the port and began our day with a trip through the Roman Theater Museum.  These ruins were discovered when a house was being torn down in the city.  It is a remarkable thing to see.  The archaeological excavation continues the the ruins that have survived the years are amazing.

This is a must see if you visit Spain.  Evidently the cruise ships do pull into port here.

Below are Jim and Jane our very special friends who just happen to live an ocean away.

Below are Jane and I and Jim and Lee.  The boys are very good about finding a place to sit while Jane and I look in the shoppes.
The four of us do have a good time touring together. Another wonderful day in Jim and Jane's paradise.
The photo shows the location of the ruins in relation to the city.

Try to picture walking through this amazing city. It is just so beautiful and as Jane says not so large as to be totally overwhelming.
