Barcelona part 1

There are more motorcycles per capita in Barcelona than any other city in Europe. We got on the tour bus at 9:00AM after a quick breakfast at the hotel.  We did not finish our day until 10:00 PM.  So we had a very long day.  This is part one of what we saw I will be putting part 2 on tomorrow.
Looking back from the harbor to the city.
The age and detail on every building is breath taking. It is hard to take it all in.

Another overview of the city. You've got water on one side of the city and the mountains on the other.
This monument in the center was beautiful.
We didn't do up here on our tour because the amusement park was closed at this time but I was able to zoom in on it with my camera.  I have no idea what the name of the church is beside it.
The Montjuic communication tower.  It was constructed in 1989 for Barcelona summer Olympic games.
We took a cable car ride above the city.  Wow, did that ever give us an idea of just how big the city is. The city proper is 1 1/2 million people and the metropolitan area is 3 million people.

One of our views as we walked around the Fort below.
Fort Montijuic  We walked all around this fort it gave us a beautiful view of the harbor and the cruise ships below.
Agbar Tower  Isn't this the strangest looking building.  To me it looks like a stogie sticking up in the middle of the city but what do I know.
You really have to be here to see all the detail on each and every building.
Most of the squares have some sort of monument or fountain.
A lot of the pictures you see have been taken from the hop on hop off bus so please forgive their quality.  The bus is not the best way to take pictures but it is the best way to get an overview of the city.
