Bend, OR

We made a trip to Paulina Lake and then went over to East Lake.  We also hike to Paulina Falls which was very pretty.

On Sunday we went to church at the Highland Baptist Church and found out Rachael's phone number and also found out old house in Redmond.  We went downtown to the old drug store where we use to get nickle a scoop ice cream cones for the children.  Lots of potted flowers throughout the town and lots of nice eating places.  We had lunch there on Sunday after church.  We also went by the old church that Lee, Dave and Suzanne were baptized in.

Lunch out with a really nice group of fellow campers.

This is the canal we went tubing down.

Nice  field where you can take the dogs off leash.

Our first year of marriage was spent in the small town of Redmond, OR population 6,000.
Today the population is about 26,000 in town and including all outlying area about 80,000.

This is the drug store we used to take the children to for nickle a scoop ice cream cones at the counter in the back.

This is the church we attended in Redmond.  Lee, David and Suzanne were baptized here.  It was the First Baptist church at that time.

This is the house we had in Redmond 42 years ago.
1914 SW 27th St.

This is the irrigation pond at the side of the house. Can you believe our children used to swim in this?

The house sat on 7/8 of a acre.  This is the shed we built to milk our milk cow in. It is still standing.

This is the pasture land in front of the house. There used to be nothing in front of this except the canal.  Now there are houses across the street and the beautiful view of the 3 Sisters Mountains is gone.

On Monday we made a trip to the other side of Redmond to visit Mac and Rachael McIntosh. They were good friends of ours when we lived here.  They have 2 children Mike and Gail.

Both of them are very active in the community and with the horses and their small farm.

Mike McIntosh and his son drove this team at the rodeo.

Mac and Rachael really great people.

I hope my children enjoy looking back on these memories.
