Day 2 in Glacier and we decided to hike Cedar and Avalanche Lake trails. We hikes about 8.03 miles.
It was only a climb of 888 fee so it was not too bad. We finished about 4PM and then came home and had dinner. We had a beautiful day all day and just after dinner it started to rain.
Lee on the Cedars trail.
This was an easy walk and ended at a beautiful falls. Very pretty walk through the woods. Hemlock, maple and cedars were in the woods.
Here's the reward.

A good percentage of the trail was right along the water.
Our first 2 days here were great. Nice weather and good hiking.
We are staying at the Timber Lodge Resort 9 miles outside the park. We only have electric, and WIFI
and it's running $40.00 a night with AARP discount. There is no dump station here and the showers are .50 cents for 10 minutes.
We checked out a campground in the park and it will cost us $10.00 per night. Dry camping but we're good with that.
If you are traveling this direction this early no reservations are needed. There are lots of campgrounds here.
This is early for Glacier because some of the passes are not open yet. Logan Pass will be open by June 18th this year some years it is not until the end of June. We were here last time in August. Everything was open but of course, you deal with the crowds. Shuttle bus service is not open until July 1.
Tomorrow we are going on another hike.
