Olympic National Park, WA

We are camping in Mount Vernon, WA and today we drove over to Olympic National Park. We took the Townsend ferry over. It was a lovely day but a lot of driving for one day. We took our two dogs with us not feeling comfortable leaving them that long.

I had 2 eagle sightings today.

Picture of the boys enjoying the ferry ride over.

Picture of Mount Baker taken from the Townsend ferry.

Taken from the ferry, but I'm not sure which mountain it is. It looks like it erupts out of thin air.

Taken from Hurricane Ridge viewpoint.

These mountains made me feel like at any moment Julie Andrews would be running through the fields singing "The hills are alive...with the sound of music.

It's like he was posing.

The 3 pictures above are some of the beautiful sights on the way home.

Bailey says, all this touring is over rated I just want to go home and have a lie down.

That's all for now folks have a nice evening and stay tuned.

The day before we went on a rather difficult hike.  It started out really easy and about 1/ 8 of the way in it really started to climb and a lot of the time we were crawling over rocks and limbs.  We finally arrived at a bluff overlooking the Pacific ocean. Not sure it was actually worth the climb but we did get our exercise for the day.
Lee standing down on the bluff we hiked to.

Pretty view but the path looks so easy when we started and by the time we finished we were all scratched up and sore and just plain tired...... and maybe a little grumpy too.

Everyday is an adventure some a little more worth remembering than others.

Cultus Lake, Canada

I do not want to get as far behind as I was before due to lack on Internet. I came down to the family center to get on free Internet to catch up for the last couple of days so I can stay caught up.

This was the scene along the dog walk at Lake Louise.  All dog walks should be this lovely.

Okanagon Lake which we passed on the way to Cultus.

Spent a lovely day just hanging around Cultus Lake and having a beach day and a picnic.

See his smile he's got a ball and he's in the water he is really happy.

This was another gorgeous site on the way to camp.

We hiked to Bridal Falls to day it is beautiful.

All the trees in the woods by the falls were covered in this moss.  It actually looked pretty neat.

We drove to Harrison Lake today and walked around and had a picnic there.

Miss Bailey used to be afraid of big dogs now she will eat off the same plate with Nicky.

the 3 of us on hike Teapot Hill

Jim Tull, Janice Brost (Lee's cousin), Tracy, Lee and I . Janice had us over for a lovely dinner and good conversation.  We hope Janice will come spend a week with us this winter in Florida.

The moss on the trees in the forest made them magical.

View of Cultus Lake from the top of Teapot Hill.

Forgot to include this in my Glacier pictures.

Visit with Bob and Wendy Riley Lee's other Canadian cousins.

the pool at Cultus Lake

Drive to Mount Vernon, WA was beautiful.

Tracy working on a puzzle with Miss Bailey supervising.

More Canada

Another set of chairs another outlook.

After Bryce Canyon this is a joke by Canada is very proud of their 5 hoodoos.

The jeep, the chairs, the dog what more could you ask for?

The valley below the spot where Lee is standing.

This is Moraine Lake

A climb to the top reveals an incredible view

Doesn't look real does it?

After that hike Lee is ready to relax again.

Campground site at Lake Louise.

I'm out of computer time so that's all for now.
