Mojacar

Aguilas and the tile stairs.  The steps, benches and decorative work are all done with broken tiles.  It took the man who did this 12 years.

Aguilas is the town the steps are located in.
Two old folks tired from a day with Rankin touring service.

Jane kept saying you've got to see the stairs. I asked what they were and she just said you'll see.

Look at all the green houses in this valley there is not a spot of land that is not used. They grow so much in a land that looks like it would be impossible to grow anything,

Here the 4 of us are trying to build enough memories to last a life time.  It  will be so good to return home and be able to picture Jim and Jane's life, to have some feel for what their daily routine is like. They are very special friends and we thank God for bringing them across our paths. We are so happy for what they have found here in Spain and pray they will enjoy many good year here.

I am so impressed with Spanish agriculture.  They so efficiently utilize every bit of land. Their fields are beautifully groomed and they do a good job of field rotation. Their leading industry is tourism and then agriculture.  The oranges here are so sweet and where ever you go you get fresh squeezed orange juice,
Shoppes lined the little walkways in Mojacar
Jim and Jane ,
How are these for steps up to your flat?
This is the walk up to the town
This is the courtyard at the top of the road.

Jane's little beach bum
Jane and Lee down by the water.  The beach front is gorgeous.  Pretty walkways and nice play areas for the children.
Jane and Miss Molly

Another day trip with Jim and Jane tourism service.  We had a beautiful drive to Mojacar with virtually no traffic.  When we first arrived,  the first thing we did is go for coffee. We ordered three coffees and when it came I thought there must be some mistake because they brought orange juice, water, one croissant sandwich each and one pastry.  For the 4 of us it was 6 and 1/2 euros. No wonder so many people go there for coffee.  What a treat!!!!
This is Restaurante Tapas Cafeteria and that is where you need to go for coffee in Mojacar.
